It just struck me that its a loooong time since I read a book labelled No.1 NYT Bestseller list. And now that I think about it those books tend to be published by the big guys, and they are always not very deep reads. More like "popcorn movies". A lot of what I read these days is sci-fi stuff, maybe popular in the genre but I don't see them on that list. A lot are published by small press.
