Android clients:
- NewPipe
- BraveNewPipe (fork that adds Rumble, BitChute)
- Clipious (uses Invidious instances)
- LibreTube (uses Piped instances)
I forgot which clients but some of these have SponsorBlock integrated that even skips in-show ad reads. Unrelated to YouTube ads
Piped & Invidious also accessible in browser (eg on desktop)

IDK if browser makes a difference for this issue but try librewolf, icecat, or mullvad browser for more privacy friendly Firebox-based browsers. Probably use ungoogled-chromium instead of Brave or Chrome if you want a Chrome-based browser.
