I wrapped up my participation in ALA for now, cycling off of ALA Council where I was the Vermont Chapter representative.
In my final meeting, I worked with a colleague to ensure that virtual participation in ALA governance remains an option. We did this via a change to the ALA Bylaws which was a process best described as tortuous, despite everyone involved being lovely.
I'm looking forward to increasing my participation with VLA (my local) and decreasing my annual meeting load considerably.
