"content": "\"The Stand\" came out top in our poll of Stephen King novels — according to NPR, many folk re-read this 1,000-plus-page tome during the height of the pandemic. Honorable mentions included \"Eyes of the Dragon,\" \"The Talisman,\" \"Christine,\" \"Dolores Claiborne,\" \"Tommyknockers,\" \"Pet Sematery,\" and \"Different Seasons\" (which includes \"Shawshank Redemption,\" \"Stand By Me\" and \"Apt Pupil,\" the last of which still gives us nightmares). Apologies to [@lunalein](https://federatedfandom.net/@lunalein) for taking so long to understand which was her favorite book — but if Stephen King will call a book \"It,\" he only has himself to blame.",
