I have been playing with this as well. The best I have seen is with Claude 3.5 and glueing a bunch of files together with https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/build-with-claude/prompt-engineering/long-context-tips
I have been using a project + artifacts and the results are good. I have not quite been able to recreate that locally with pure API calls, but I haven't spent as long on it.
