I'm not a leftist and I'm not interested in defending leftism, but I do feel like you're kind of exaggerating this point. historically most leftists who weren't anarchists didn't actually reject hierarchy in general, and there are plenty of leftists who were exactly the kind of personal-loyalty-inspiring leader you aspire to be. you yourself have praised a few marxist-leninist leader in the past. obviously not saying you *should*, but I don't see how hoping to be the Khruschev of the 21st century would be a betrayal of who you are as a person
