To paraphrase someone, Republicans only ever make the same three claims ad nauseam: "Immigrants are coming for your jobs, queers are coming for your kids, and Jews (who we totally support, LOL) are secretly behind it all."
Some people think the GOP will die and be replaced by a "normal" center-right party. Which, we call them Democrats most of the time. But even if such a party appeared, it would almost immediately turn back into the GOP because that's what these people want.
