I come from a different era in which being frugal was a good thing. I lived in an era where feeling entitled to the newest and best while disposing of expensive things that were still perfectly good was almost non-existent and thought of as wasteful and spoiled. The attitude has changed, IMO, for the worse. While young people complain about climate change, they contribute to pollution and climate change because they feel entitled to new "stuff".
