i really hope the sociopathic regime does not get re-elected in the US, but sometimes I think about that Buddhist parable where the kid is a great horseman, and everyone congratulates the parents who are so lucky.
But then he falls off his horse and breaks his leg, and everyone consoles the parents for their misfortune. But then a war breaks out, and everyone else’s kids are sent off to die in it, but the kid is spared because he had a broken leg.
You never know. The regime could stay in power (by cheating or otherwise), and the system might blow up on its watch, discrediting its ideology forever.
It’s best not to get too attached to outcomes. They are never all in.
