I have seen signs of many authors being derailed by COVID. Folks who had a steady book release schedule suddenly dropping from 2 books/year to 1 book/2 years. Titles suddenly cancelled or rescheduled 9 months late. Which is nevertheless less bad than publishing a turkey on schedule because your brain isn't braining this year.
Seriously? If you're struggling, write something shorter and structurally simpler. Your readers won't hate you for it!
