Some arbitrary data I just figured out: for my last major retail typeface, Pennypacker, I made 2,620 git commits over the course of 77 months, averaging 33 commits per month.
I was working on other projects for those 6 years. And similar to “number of kerning pairs” etc more def doesn’t mean better. Still an interesting metric for myself to consider. My other large families were moved to git midway, but this project was in git pretty much from the beginning (8-15 glyphs each in 4 .ufo files)
