I'm excited for #HarrisForPresident
I know there are groups who feel she shouldn't be elected. There will always be those who wish to destroy.
I know there are concerns that he will not accept the results and she will be forced to navigate something much worse than Jan 6th. They hope to somehow delay progress, to somehow drive us into a false reality where men and women are separate, white makes right.
I understand the work ahead. We need to bolster our local systems. Build infrastructure and better networks for our most vulnerable. We need to acknowledge that they are not being good faith partners and we need to call them out and force them to own their terrible opinions.
Kamala Harris makes me excited for our community and country. The energy around her campaign gives me hope, and a feeling of leadership.
Perhaps I'm independent but it certainly doesn't feel that way.
I'm excited.
