The Wager

Fascinating history of the shipwreck of The Wager in 1741, off Cape Horn. The crew is stranded on a remote island, dying of hunger, cold, storms and illness. There is mutiny and savagery in the struggle to survive. But also attempts to maintain order and the lines of command. Amazingly, they wrote official documents justifying their behavior in case they would make it back to England and end up in court. Which some of them miraculously did.
