Starting to reflect back after making it back home from #useR2024 (without additional train issues 🎉), and I'm starting to feel like the most important effect it had on me was to help me realize that all the cool people are still there, doing cool things (presumably, if not assuredly).
Just because the Twitter of yore died and the social hub kind of went away, fractured, diaspora'd, doesn't mean that there's nothing left of the community that has been so special to me over the years.
