I feel like I've grown up thinking the world was going to end at any moment. I was 10 during the Cuban Missile Crisis (and terrified). Is my generation the first to grow up with that constant fear? I mean lots of folks grew up in war zones, etc,- but were we boomers the first to be kids contemplating the end of *everything* (other than those who were very religious)? And now every kid has that as a given.
