Zoomers: that weird voicemail icon in Android (maybe elsewhere)? I think that's supposed to depict reel-to-reel tape.
I'm a millennial born in 1984.
I have never actually seen that kind of audio tape in person either. (I did see a reel-to-reel film projector though.)
