Not to justify the killing of inocence, but if only the cops have guns, and (assault weapons at that) how can you have a revolution?
Armed conflict is inevitable, and no revolution ever happened without violence. I refuse to think that only allowing oppressive forces to have guns produces any future I want to live in.
My most positive of hopes and dreams is that people see what is possible and are eventually changed by it, but that sadly isn't the reality.
