They can zap a little part of your brain to get rid of addiction too, not sure how many they have done but the first attempt on a cocaine addict worked.
Also my grandpa was an alcoholic his entire life but he had no desire to drink after he gave himself a head injury (ironically from falling off a ladder drunk)
