I don’t think free will is mentioned specifically in the OT, just like heaven, it is a NT construct. I think the belief comes from Adam and Eve actually disobeying the command not to eat from the tree. Why would they do that, disobey God’s instruction? It only makes sense if God allowed man to have free will. At least that’s my $.03 on the matter.",
