I can’t emphasize enough that Eliezer Yudkowsky has no qualifications _at all_ to talk about AI.
It's not just that he has no CS degree (CS is still an autodidact-friendly field and I think that's a good thing) it's that he has no _informal_ qualifications either. He's written a lot of Harry Potter fanfic and a handful of python scripts.
Asking him for predictions about the future of AI is like asking someone who's seen a Godzilla movie for their opinion about T Rex's reproductive cycle.
