Yes. And italic is only used for emphasis, english or non-english.
I didn't know italicized other languages was a thing until reading other responses.
It seems like a goofy practice. I mean should we italicize New Yorkers? What about West Texas?
I mean seriously, if we're going to italic non-english speaking, then West Texas absolutely must be italicized
