Just a point we need to be clear on. Calling a gay person who has consensual adult relationships a ‘pedo’ IS a hate crime.
Saying the violent attackers called the gay men ‘pedos’ during the attacks and therefore it wasn’t a hate crime as they were not targeting them for being gay, is just a very poorly informed take.
