The question of free will seems so obvious as to be a complete waste of time. Everyone will always act as though they have free will, & the only time they don't is in an effort to escape the cosequences of something they have already done.
Either we have free will & are responsible for our actions, which means we can improve life & make the world better, or we don't which means nothing matters at all & there isn't even any point in arguing about it. The act of arguing about something implies a belief that you can change someone's mind, if there is no free will then that would be a silly endeavor.
"There's no free will" is one of those self exploding positions, like arguing might makes right, if you really thought that you wouldn't waste time arguing.
