FYI, I got QT to recognize the newly copied datadir, but not bitcoind. The config files conflict. I've just had enough of this shit, though and I feel safe enough knowing that I have two good copies and it's unlikely I have to re-download and synch again regardless.
So I've decided to just go head and uninstall...
Unfortunately... it's been like this for the last 30 minutes. I may just go ahead and get rid of Ubuntu altogether, this is way too shitty as a use experience.
Any OS recommendations to run Bitcoin Core without all this drama?
