The police won't find this girl because... actually I'm not clear on exactly why they won't. Apparently all cops do is fill out a missing persons report.
Jason is on the case though! He's staking out the bar where she went missing and has already found evidence! A security camera in a darkened hallway with its feed cut and a pearl in the narrow, unlit alley that any reasonable detective would've picked up because he found it within seconds.
