All is not alright with the world (or my hair), but at least my over-70 years-old relative has reconsidered his plan to fly solo to Italy this summer to "hang out with the locals" without any Italian language skills.
The plan has been postponed until winter, which gives me hope that this is going to be the ongoing narrative - lots of hype and declarations of "the plan" and then postponement, on a yearly loop.
