My toxic work trait is reminding coworkers that they can say “no” to unreasonable requests, even if that isn’t presented as an option.

Sometimes it has to be softened to “in order to take this on, I’ll need to stop doing x, y, or z; please help me prioritize.” But that is still a form of “no.”

We can’t say “yes” to everything, at any level of any organization.
