Gaza isn't a military superpower like Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan was. Gaza has no army, navy, or air force. Just a rag tag militia, there's no possible way they could overthrow Israel. It was really just a breech of security. I'm sure they can fix that without a mass slaughter of civilians.
