A common, shared monetary base across jurisdictions does not only make trade more efficient by reducing transaction costs, it also makes war less profitable due to wealth being dematerialized and furthermore, it reduces the inequality (and thus the incentive to war in the first place) between them by removing a competitive advantage one might have due to having a better (more sound) money as the base of its economic activity.
No more importing inflation to other countries.
No more profiting off of the arbitrage between currencies.
No more money printing to fund wars.
No more bailouts.
Just full responsibility and real consequences.
