On one hand I kind of agree with this, on the other hand I think the deeper truth is that wages - be they low or high - are more a function of “Is there an alternative person or machine who will do this job at sufficient quality for a lower wage / lower cost”
The term “unskilled labor” disparages the social contributions of work that society looks down on even though this work is necessary for society to function. However the low wages don’t exist because of capitalist scheming, but because of fair (or overall fair) market competition and economic progress.
