Nothing bad! A sat (a Satoshi) is a tiny fraction of a Bitcoin. There are 100 million sats per Bitcoin, so it’s about 4200 sats to a US dollar right now.
One of the cool things about nostr clients like Damus is that it offers a seamless integration with Bitcoin’s “Lightning network” — a low-fee way to send small amounts of Bitcoin peer-to-peer.
We “zap” each other here all the time (ie send sats back and forth), for a variety of reasons: thanks for advice, acknowledgement of a high quality post, or just for fun!
If you want to try it out, there are plenty of us here who got interested in nostr because of our interest in Bitcoin.
