If the MPs have to be there, then some of their staff have to be there (the ones who don't, stay in the electorate for the most part). I don't think it's useful to focus entirely on eliminating travel, although that is part of the picture. Australia needs electrified high speed rail, and for the small amount of air travel that can't be eliminated, we should encourage the use of recycled biofuels and possibly hydrogen in the future, although I am for the most part a hydrogen sceptic. #GovernmentTravel #AirTravel #SustainableTransport #auspol #biofuel #hydrogen #AustralianGreens
