I consistently find that the people who are truly great at what they do are almost always also generous in celebrating the successes and works of others in their field. And almost always well aware of the luck of their own successes
The folks who are zero sum in their thinking who bad mouth others, who only tout themselves (who form cliques and then only promote others if they feel they will get something from it). Those folks are almost always not as good as they think they are
