Why does anyone want “followers”? What makes you a “leader”? I’m not being rude. I’m asking genuine questions. Let’s say you do want followers…why so many? If they’re not engaging in your content, then what’s the benefit? For example, if I see a person with 1 million followers, I question why would so many people follow 1 person. I would say “who are you? What are you doing that is so profound?” Not in a rude way but only God should have a large following.
You state, “I’m here to share quality content and connect with like-minded folks”. That tells me you want a *community*.
Therefore, if you’re interested in numbers, I think the goal should be to build a community and have a large one. If I see a community of 1 million people socializing and engaging with one another, I would want to be part of that community.
I’m not a fan of follower count. On a psychological and social level, it has unintended consequences. We see those consequences on other platforms.
Lastly, I think there should be more clients that allow for communities to exist. It’s hard to create a community on Primal because of the design. It’s not Primal’s fault because it’s designed like Twitter. I know people are working on things. There’s Ditto right now. Hopefully more will roll out soon.
I wish you all the best.
