Well one can mute accounts as a default #Mastodon feature. But yeah I dont know what that does about Boosts, would definitely be good to have more options such as, "filter posts from ppl with # in their account if boosted to my timeline" etc
Btw in #Fedilab you can even exclude accounts you follow from your homefeed, that would IMHO also be a nice default feature, or in general making it easier to follow accounts and hashtags as well as to have multiple timelines based on that.
