Keeping people working so hard on the hamster wheel that they have no energy to truly engage in politics is one of our enemies' techniques, to be sure. It involves far more than taxation. It is mainly facilitated by the ethnically distinct banking/financial system that now owns the government, and it is done by continual debasement of the currency. This "chosen" elite has the legal "right" to create money out of nothing, and by constantly creating more and more of it, they make the dollar worth less and less every day, thereby stealing everyone's life savings over the decades, and forcing us all to work harder and harder just to stay in the same place. It's the crime of the century.
