King bed with my husband. I keep babies on my chest or in the crook of my arm. The only SIDS deaths I'm familiar with were likely caused by vaccinations...because if cosleeping killed, it would be due to crushing or suffocation.
Now, if you take sleep meds or have sleep-related health issues, that would require extra caution. Sure. But my husband and I certainly don't. Parents are generally hyperaware of their baby.
FWIW we inherited a side bassinet for the bed with Baby #1 and never used it because hodling babies is the best. 🧡
