It really bores me to go at it again, but XIX Century revolutionary atheism, the one Marx or Bakunin preached, was not about mocking religion or finding logic holes on religious discourse. It was about religion being a false exit or a false comfort from a life of want and suffering, and therefore religion would wither away once the need for this false escape from an unjust reality is no longer needed, because we put a stop said injustice.
