The thing you can't tell when you see me staring stiffly into the camera in this segment is just that, i.e., that I am staring stiffly into my webcam, because _I can't see the news anchor who is interviewing me_.
She can see me on a screen in the studio, but all I'm seeing at my end is a white screen with some instructions on it about the mechanics of the interview.
It's hard not to be a little stiff when you're being interviewed by a disembodied voice in your earbuds.
