Speaking of Waynes: we were driving to Apple one morning, on hwy85 by 280, and a hawk just flew by *super close and fast*. All I was left with was an impression -- quite possibly not real -- of beak open, talons extended forward, wings back. And then it was gone.
I really wonder how accurate that impression was -- I keep assuming it happened so fast that my brain just picked a similar image from memory and substituted it for reality.
