That's actually great to hear because that's kind of what I'm doing.
This is my first winter venturing beyond the local trail (2023 was my return to hiking, in general). I've thus far, I encountered minimal snow in December, then earlier this month hiked along the Clark Fork River.
Other hikes along other rivers are possible, and more rugged, but still largely level. The next step beyond that is Rattlesnake Creek.
