It is not something which I replace or change often. But I use it in my heater block for both my thermistor and heat cartridge. I also have it between my heatbreak and my heatsink of my hot-end.
I bought a bi-metalic hotend for improved conductivity and heat isolation. So I just thought I might just as well go all the way.
