On a side note, so often food journalists have mangled David Tran's words, and made out that he "invented sriracha sauce", which I see he's tried to fix of late - not his fault, they just didn't listen to his words. It's good that the article starts with acknowledging sriracha isn't Teochew, let alone invented by him. 😁

It's a hot sauce ALL of Asia loves, and loved, long before any Californian had ever tasted Huy Fong 😆
