I guess? I do believe the world is manipulated by those who crave power. But figuring out how that works takes sampling from many various vantage points. From my vantage, coming up through that tech world being part ofits culture, seeing it change, power shifting (w my own sense of betrayals as it evolved), I feel I have some perspective about what I was & wasn't manipulated around. That culture once centered around sincere ideologies & hopes, and the fact that many of my hacker compatriots came out on the correct side of that seems to prove it. Hacker/early internet ethos reflected genuine utopian, anarchistic ideals, and I just think that those who craved power became something else... the techbros took away a different lesson from those times. (Esp the ones who became billionaires. This is terminology we're talking, "loading the language," and I just don't feel anyone in the position to name it had that foresight.
