One thing I've noticed since beginning my #retro journey is that I play a lot of games in different genres now. I give more games a chance. Before, you'd usually see me only ever playing western RPGs, especially ones like the Elder Scrolls or modern Fallout.
Now, I not only play JRPGs but you'll catch me playing games of many genres now. That's majorly because retro games had such variety and exploring the games of the past has inspired me to play more varied games of the present.
