First, gods were in nature to explain it, early pagan, indigenous, etc gods. But as we understood nature more, gods move to the sky, greek/roman gods, judaism, but still interactive. Then as we understood more of that, gods moved to unknowable ethers (new testament, modern religion) speaking less directly to us. It happened globally! Amazing to study.",
