Took three years of chemo and radiation for Stage 4 Cancer to teach me the US is most unkind to anyone but the able-bodied.
My use of a wheelchair and assisted walking showed me how few ramps, doors, restrooms, and basic consideration of others there really is.
We redid our house to accommodate my lifestyle changes. Not even housing is kind to anyone but the Abled.
