npub1g0tuf634rz4suczwj7kgnecr6cyt0eu9xmp3sp0fku68mqehq4msp3tvm4 (npub1g0t…tvm4) They complain about high taxation, but the UK is one of the lowest taxed countries in the G20. The problem isn't taxation, but interest rates. The family extensively quoted says their mortgage payments are now a third of their net income. They were clearly over-mortgaged in the first place. It is certainly rentier capitalism causing this, but the article (deliberately?) deflects to taxation on the eve of a budget where the govt is pushing just this false remedy of tax cuts.
