i started mining bitcoin in 2010 with single core cpu computers from the Goodwill that had no cases, and were mounted to wooden boards which were mounted on my living room wall like a weird art installation. i dont talk about it, because my identity is not based in it.
but i will say, if bitcoin fails in its original mission, it will not be for technical reasons, it will be for human reasons. as the value of bitcoin increases, the pressure on the core team will reach levels that will either break them, or force some kind of change. what that change will be, i don’t know. I’m just sure it will happen eventually.
