using https://nostrudel.ninja (or my monero based fork https://mostard.org) you need to go to the Emojis tab, either create custom emojis or find in explore, then click the star button to "save" the emoji list and when typing a comment starting with : it autocomplete emoji lists

but it needs some fixing because sometimes the autocomplete doesn't load all emojis, it needs a refresh until it does
